Virtual Classes

These guidelines are intended for the coordinators and delegates on Virtual Classes for any of our Courses. The delegates do not need to install any software. We will provide a link to join the class from any connected device. We often use PowerPoint Slides; it’s best to use a laptop or desktop rather than a mobile device.

Preparation

  • Please ensure that equipment is tested and functional before the scheduled start.
  • Since online sessions aren’t affected by the travel delays common with physical classrooms, we begin promptly at the scheduled course time.

Seating

  • The Learners must be able to see and hear our Facilitator.
  • In cases where each Learner has access to a dedicated computer, seating arrangements are easily managed, however we understand that this is not always the case.
  • For groups sharing a computer to "attend", consider a long table with the screen at the end in a position visible to all the Learners.
  • Our Facilitator must be able to see and hear the Learners.
  • Test the setup to ensure that the Learners are visible on the screen.

Attendance Documents

  • We send the Attendance Register and Learner Information Forms to you in advance.
  • Please have these available to be completed at the start of the session.
  • In the case of courses where pre-registration is required, the Attendance Register might not be included in these arrangements.

Manuals and Workbooks

  • We send these to you in advance.
  • Please ensure that each Learner has a copy of the Learner Guide and, if applicable, a copy of the Workbook.
  • The Learners will need a Pen.

Breaks

  • These will be arranged during the introduction to the Course.
  • Let us know if you have any specific requirements or expectations.
